I think it is valuable to learn about other cultures because it gives you a broader idea of things going on around the world. Different cultures believe in different practices and values and I think it is important to know what those cultures are compared to our own. It gives you more experience and understanding with peoples values, food, language, ethic, tradition, government and education.

Only ever knowing what it was like in our culture, I find it very interesting when learning all the things that other cultures do. From reading The Kite Runner, we learned about Pashtuns and Hazaras, kite flying, the Taliban, different traditional meals, and the education system. I found it very interesting how they lived their everyday lives compared to the way we live our everyday lives.
